. He previously promoted music shows at the Nugget student bar at Calif. State University Long Beach (1978–1979), Bogart's
Night Club (1988–1993), and the Foothill Club (1994–1998), all in the Long Beach, California area. More recently, he worked at Safari Sam's in Hollywood, California (2005–2006). The Foothill Club in Signal Hill, California, now demolished, was one of the last remaining honky tonks in Los Angeles County from the 1950s.
