. His father was a professor at the University of Notre Dame before becoming a professional speaker. He spoke for nearly 50 years as "The World's Greatest Edutainer".
True is currently at 540 ESPN as the host of the afternoon sports talk show from 2–6 pm. He is also in his 20th season as play-by-play voice of Marquette
basketball. He joined Good Karma Broadcasting
in September 2005 as the host of the afternoon show on WAUK
540. He has been a sportscaster in Milwaukee since 1989. He started at WISN (AM) radio as the morning sports anchor, host of a nightly sports show, "The World's Greatest Sportstalk Show", and play-by-play voice for Marquette basketball. In 1991, he joined WISN-TV
as the morning sports anchor and eventually became the 5 pm sports anchor. He won an Emmy for local sportscasting in 1996. He also hosted "Pack Attack", a live weekly show that featured Packers
players including Brett Favre
. He worked at WISN-TV from 1991–2003.
