Steven Michael Skala AO
is the Vice Chairman of Deutsche Bank
for Australia and New Zealand, and a member of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's

. He is the deputy chairman of the Walter and Eliza Hall institute of medical research. He is a director of Wilson stockbrokers, the Nasdeq listed reinsurance company Maxre, Hexima Ltd. and chairman of Film Australia. He was formerly head of The Centre for contemporary arts in Melbourne. He was for 20 years a partner at the Melbourne law firm of Arnold Bloch Leibler where he headed its banking financing and takeover sections.
On 26 January 2010 Skala was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia
for service to the visual and performing arts through roles supporting wider community access, to business and commerce, and to the community through the promotion of educational opportunities for young Australians.
