Sanderson started his career aged 8 with Egremont Rangers but soon after switched clubs to play for his beloved Wath Brow Hornets, winning the National Cup during his time there. He stayed with Wath Brow until he signed a month-to-month contract with Gateshead ThunderGateshead Thunder
