and is the father of Lotta Sollander.
In 1948 he finished 40th in the Olympic downhill event
. He also participated in the Alpine combined competition
but did not finished after being eliminated in the slalom.
Four years later he finished fifth in the 1952 Olympic slalom event and sixth in the giant slalom competition
.
At the 1960 Games he won the bronze medal in the slalom event. In the downhill competition he finished 10th and in the giant slalom contest he finished 16th.
