Criticism
STOMP has been criticised by The Online Citizen as 'gutter journalism' and for irresponsible reporting http://theonlinecitizen.com/2007/11/gutter-journalism-masquerading-as-citizen-journalism-racist-rhetoric-stoked-over-irresponsible-reporting-2/. The website is largely unregulated, allowing all users to upload any content they wish onto the website. STOMP publishes mostly petty gossip. This is evidenced in the 'Singapore Seen' section, where users often upload videos of frowned upon MRT behaviour such as overly-amorous couples and people eating. Like The Temasek Review, it attracts idiotic Singaporeans from all over the island and is a breeding ground for stupidity and discrimination. What is even more disgusting is that this website owned by the state newspaper, The Straits Times.Awards
