History
The school used to be known as Stratton Grammar Technical School which opened in 1950. In 1974 it became Stratton Upper School, from ages 14 to 18. In 1976 it became a comprehensive. It was built in such a fashion that if necessary it could be used as a war hospital in the event of future wars.Grammar School
