. He joined the group in 1973, replacing John Devine.
Woody was a co-writer
of many Rollers song

He is usually referred to by his nickname, Woody. (As such, he was mentioned by name in Nick Lowe
's 1976 single "Rollers Show", a parody of the Rollers craze.)
Woody and his wife, Denise, live in Edinburgh. He is still active in the music industry, producing

. In 2007, Wood produced and released a DVD documentary of his life story, entitled Rollercoaster. The disc's initial release was in the United Kingdom only.
