Sunari is a village in Nagaur
district’s Ladnun tehsil. It is 12 km west of Ladnun and 20 km south-west of Sujangarh.it is situated 82 kilometres (51 mi) from Nagaur
on to Ladnun road.
Ladnun Tehsil lies on the very edge of the Thar Desert and is the last link between the semi arid land and the harsh inhospitable desert. According to legends, the area of Marwar
was once a sea called Drumkulya, it became a desert when one the fire bound arrow of Lord Rama burnt a large part of the sea and converted it into a desert. Since then, the area is known as Maru Mandal, Marudhara, Maruwad, Maru Desh and Marwad.The people of Marwar, however, didn't let the inhospitable terrain of the region dampen their spirit.

(Long-tailed-Shrike) sitting in the Khejri tree on left side of the path so they stopped their journey and stay there for a night because it is regard in Marwadi tradition that if a Soun Chidi is at left hand side then journey is denied ahead so they passed the night on same spot. In the dawn one brother saw there was a sheep in a Ker
(Ker is not exotic vegetable, but is a wild berry (or beans) that grow independently in the vast desert areas especially in Western Rajasthan, there was a fast jungle of Ker at that time in this area) struggling with three jackals to escape her newly born kid. He called his other brothers then they observed that sheep had been fighting for whole night. Astonished and overwhelming Beerda Brother bowed to that great land and great sheltering power of this and decide to settled down there and this was birth of village Sugnawali(Soun Chidi) which became Sunari. Village Well and that khejri tree of that time can be seen in village. Village is also motherland of immortal saheed Dharma Ram Beerda and Mota Ram Beerda.

Currently, Sunari is under Nagaur Zilla Panchayat, Ladnun-I Intermediate panchayat, and has its own unreserved Gram Panchayat

Sunari is covered by The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and 135 Job cards were issued under this legislation as of July 2010.
Sunari has a continental climate, with very hot summers and relatively cool winters. Summer starts in April and lasts till the middle of October. May is the hottest month, with the maximum day temperatures in the 48 °C (118.4 °F) range. Sunari experiences a weak monsoon, from late June to September, with about 15 inches (38.1 cm) of rain. Winter starts in November and is mild and sunny, although temperatures may reach freezing on some nights.
The climate of the district is characterised by its dryness and extremes of temperature. It is a semi-arid region and agriculture is supported mainly by canals and ground water irrigation. Nagaur lies in the Thar Desert. Hot winds, locally known as Loo, are strong and frequent from May to July. Intermittent dust storms are common. In the winter some rain is received due to western disturbances.
