 freeway, which at this area is eight lanes across, forms its southern boundary with access at Rivonia offramp. A new road, the K60, has been built through the centre of Sunninghill to assist in easing traffic. Sunninghill is bordered by the suburbs of Paulshof, Kyalami and Woodmead.

Much growth has recently occurred within the suburb, with most previously open land spaces now occupied with residential complexes or businesses.

Residential

The suburb comprises numerous townhouses, a living establishment commonly popular in new Johannesburg developments due to secured and often guarded boundaries and lower ownership cost than individual housing property. Generally the suburb is a living place of choice for many skilled young adults working in financial, legal or consulting type industries.

Commercial and Business

Sunninghill Hospital is one of the better established hospitals in Johannesburg, under the Netcare range. Additionally there are many large corporations that are based in Sunninghill, such as Acer
