Superfighter
Encyclopedia
Superfighter is a heavyweight professional boxing tournament, originally scheduled to occur on December 2, 2006 in Melbourne, Australia.

The winner of the tournament, decided via a 4-round elimination system, is to be awarded a final prize of $5 million dollars. Eight top heavyweights are to participate in the event.

Tournament history and status

The original date was postponed for various reasons, among which visa issues for American boxers were cited. It was also suggested that lack of interest to the tournament was the main contribution to the delay. Tournament's current status is "delayed until further notice". Organizers also noted that the new installation will probably take place in Nevada to avoid further issues with Australian authorities.
