History

Scott Wald founded SurePayroll in Highland Park, Illinois in January 2000 as the first online payroll service to pay and file its customers’ payroll taxes.

In late 2004, SurePayroll released its Small Business Scorecard that analyzes its customers' payrolls every month to determine the state of the small business economy.

In December 2009, SurePayroll became the first payroll company to have a payroll iPhone app, allowing customers to process payroll on their iPhones, iPod touches, or iPads.
