Surrey County Intermediate League (Western)

The Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) is one of the three intermediate football
leagues based in the English
county of Surrey
- the others being the Surrey South Eastern Combination
and the Surrey Elite Intermediate League
. The league can trace its roots back to 1891 when the East and West Surrey League was formed. Following a 're-construction' of this league the West Surrey League was formed in 1905. That, in turn, became the Surrey Intermediate League at the same time as the Surrey Senior League
was formed in 1922.
It currently comprises clubs from West Surrey, North East Hampshire
and South West Greater London
. The league's top division is situated at the 12th level of the English football league system
. The top two teams in the Premier Division may be promoted to the Surrey Elite Intermediate League
. Division One teams may be relegated to and replaced by teams from the Guildford & Woking Alliance
.
The league has two divisions for first teams as well as two reserve divisions. The 2010-11 Premier Division champions were Wrecclesham with Cranleigh winning the Division One title.
The reserve division champions were Yateley Green Reserves and Unis Old Boys Reserves.
