under the pen name Miranda Jarrett. In the fifteen years since then, Scott has written over thirty historical romances for Harlequin and Pocket Books as Miranda Jarrett. These books are available in eleven languages in sixteen foreign countries, with over three and half million copies in print.
In 2005, Scott decided to attempt "longer, more complex stories with more characters and actual history than could fit comfortably into a historical romance." Her first attempt at more mainstream historical fiction, Duchess: A Novel of Sarah Churchill was published in 2006 under her real name.
Scott has served on the executive board of the Romance Writers of America
