at the 1964 Summer Paralympics
consisted of 62 events, 31 for men, 30 for women and 1 mixed.
Although some events were entered by only one, two or three athletes or teams, guaranteeing a medal to all finishers, there were (unlike at the 1960 Games) events in which more than three swimmers (or teams) competed.
