"Swing" is the first solo single from Savage
's debut album, Moonshine released in 2005 and it peaked at number one for five weeks in the New Zealand chart.
In 2008, it was released as a single for the U.S and a version has been re-done with Soulja Boy
. By the end of January 2009, the song had sold over 1,500,000 units in the United States and certified platinum. At the time it hit the million mark it had sold approximately 700,000 units through download sales as well as a further 300,000 through mobile sales.
Both remixes with Soulja Boy and Pitbull
are featured on the rapper's second studio album Savage Island
. There are also covers of this song by Drop Dead, Gorgeous
and Miss May I
