Synthetic/Sludge Removal Technology (SRT) is a combination of lipase
Lipase
A lipase is an enzyme that catalyzes the formation or cleavage of fats . Lipases are a subclass of the esterases.Lipases perform essential roles in the digestion, transport and processing of dietary lipids in most, if not all, living organisms...

, protease
Protease
A protease is any enzyme that conducts proteolysis, that is, begins protein catabolism by hydrolysis of the peptide bonds that link amino acids together in the polypeptide chain forming the protein....

 and various other enzymes
Enzyme
Enzymes are proteins that catalyze chemical reactions. In enzymatic reactions, the molecules at the beginning of the process, called substrates, are converted into different molecules, called products. Almost all chemical reactions in a biological cell need enzymes in order to occur at rates...

. It is used in large scale operations and industries to break down animal fats, oil residue, and any type of synthetic adhesive
Synthetic fiber
Synthetic fibers are the result of extensive research by scientists to improve on naturally occurring animal and plant fibers. In general, synthetic fibers are created by forcing, usually through extrusion, fiber forming materials through holes into the air, forming a thread...

to stop sludge from hardening or crystalizing. SRT is being used in large scale septic facilities and is also manufactured and distributed for home use. Sewage waste plants incorporate these enzymes to function at a very high efficiency.

A septic tank is a key component of the septic system, a small-scale sewage treatment system common in areas with no connection to main sewage pipes provided by local governments or private corporations...

are used in products as common as soaps, shampoos to tissue paper. SRT can be incorporated into the tank to alleviate these problems. There must be sufficient bacteria and enzymes to eliminate the residue and build-up that is formed on the main drain pipe and lateral lines caused by this petroleum and synthetic build-up. Septic Savior is the largest wholesaler of SRT.
