Takis Hristoforidis was a Greek
actor and cousin of Periklis Hristoforidis
.
He was born in Constantinople
(now Istanbul
, Turkey
) in 1914 and died in Athens
in 1973 from pneumonia
, which he suffered from his hardship in a scene in some return. He played mostly secondary roles and became popular in the role of a nervous and a lazy doctor, he suffered a tick. An actor (member of SEI from 1937) and member of a famous theatrical family, in the beginning of the roassroads, he worked with different prose companies and with the National Theatre
in 1936-41. In 1939-40, he appeared in the operetta Nychterida (Νυχτερίδα), which entered him into the Functioning Lyric Stage. Until 1945, he was in the Thessaloniki Public Theatre and later on he participated with P. Kyriakos in his periodicals in Cyprus
from 1945 until 1948.
He played in the Greek Stage with D. Rontiris
and at Vebo Company (1951–54). From then he began to appear in characteristic roles with mostly inspector and comedies. He also worked with K. Hadjihristos and took part between the others in K. Stoligkas - M. Theofanidis companies and others. He also appeared in many movies.
