History

Tapestry New Opera works was founded in 1979 as a madrigal ensemble The Tapestry Singers. In 1986 it renamed Tapestry Music Singers to reflect changes in the company's direction. The company was re-branded as Tapestry New Opera Works in 1999 to reflect it's dedication to the creation of contemporary opera.
