Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music

The Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music forms part of the faculty of Arts at the University of Tasmania
. It is a music training institution with courses and specializations in classical and contemporary music, music education, technology and composition.
The school offers a range of undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees including the MMus (research) and PhD. The school has a performance program through its various ensembles including the ARIA award nominated Southern Gospel Choir
, Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute, Jan Sedivka Camerata and Tasmania Discovery Orchestra.
The school maintains a number of seasonal short-course schools including the Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute and Tasmania Discovery Orchestra. The school also offers community based program for pre-tertiary music students in The Young Conservatorium. The Conservatorium acts to administer the AMEB in Tasmania and has links with local educational and performance institutions including the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra
