Tattnall Square Academy is an independent, non-profit, Christian
, college preparatory academy located in Macon, Georgia
. It was chartered by the State of Georgia
in 1969. The school is administered by a Board of Directors consisting of church members and parents. Officers are elected annually and term of service spans three years with new members nominated by the Board Committee. Tattnall is known mainly for its many successful athletic teams and their math team, which has won numerous awards around the state.
The school was built on a plot of land in the Wesleyan Woods subdivision, just a few miles from Wesleyan College
, and remains there today. Since then, a new athletic building, elementary building, senior deck, and two playgrounds have been added to the campus.
Tattnall Square Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). Tattnall Square Academy currently competes in the AAA subdivision of the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) Tattnall Square Academy has also won numerous State titles. The school last State titles won by the school are in Cheerleading and Baseball. These two awards were won during the 2008-2009 school year. The last Football title held was in 2011-2012 school year.

The school was founded on February 5, 1969 by Tattnall Square Baptist Church. Tattnall Square Academy was originally located on Tattnall Square in downtown Macon in 1969 and was relocated to its present location in 1972. At first, the campus consisted only of the main building, Trojan Hall (then a gymnasium/currently an auditorium ), and the Baseball, Softball, Football, and Soccer fields. In 2004, Trojan Hall was converted to an auditorium, and the new Athletic Complex was built. In January 2009, Tattnall launched its new website.Accreditation and Membership
