Tay Ping Hui is a Singaporean Chinese

television and film actor. Tay is best known for acting in many Chinese language
TV drama series on Channel 8 and has made appearances in the films Summer Holidays (2000) and Infernal Affairs II
(2003).
. Active in sports and ECA, he was deeply involved both as a sportsman and leader, representing his school in basketball, athletics, volleyball, and several other sports. Ping Hui was also musically gifted, sang with the school choir, played the Chinese flute in the Chinese orchestral, and was the lead singer and guitarist of the Temasek Hall Band " Cognitive Dissonance". As a leader, Ping Hui was appointed Senior Patrol Leader (the highest position attainable in secondary school) in the Catholic High School scout group Stamford 06, he was a Student Councilor in College and was also a commissioned officer of the Singapore Armed Forces, holding the appointment of Company Second-in-Command. He later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Economics and Political Science from the Arts and Social Sciences faculty of the National University of Singapore

for his realistic and stellar portrayal of a gang leader in Stepping Out. After that, he became the most wanted leading man, acting in numerous shows opposite veterans as equals. In 2000, Ping Hui acted in the movie " Summer Holiday" by Director Jingle Ma, opposite Hong Kong Actress Sammi Cheng. In 2001, Ping Hui made a foray into the English language
