. Allen had a majority of 235 votes and was declared elected. The election was declared void on 3 April 1891.
On 9 July 1891 a by-election was held, and was won by Fraser. He represented the electorate until the end of the term of the 11th Parliament in 1893, when the electorate was abolished.
