 and was established in 1998. Even though it is a provincial channel, it is extremely popular and many of its programs have become nationally syndicated. The channel's 24 hour a day broadcast includes children's programming, afternoon talk-shows, comedies, mini-series and movies.

The channel is also referred to as Channel 5 by the citizens of Tehran, as it was the fifth television channel available in Tehran.
