Tekno Autosports is an Australian motor racing team, established in the early 2000s initially for the motor racing activities of Steve Webb, and later his son Jonathon Webb
. The Gold Coast-based team runs a racing entitlement contract to compete in the International V8 Supercars Championship. The team runs a Ford Falcon
which is run with support from Triple Eight Race Engineering.
Formed originally as a Porsche team running in the Australian Nations Cup Championship
, a GT based racing series, Steve Webb raced Porsches with modest success for several seasons. Gradually as the 2000s progressed the team's emphasis shifted from Steve to Jonathon as he emerged through the ranks of Australian motor racers. Jonathon Webb joined the Australian Carrera Cup Championship
when it was formed in 2003 and finished third in his best ever season in 2005. For 2007 Tekno moved into the second-tier Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series and operated a Ford Falcon in the series with the assistance of Stone Brothers Racing
. In 2009 Tekno wound down as an operational racing team with Webb moving into the MW Motorsport
team in what became his championship winning season. In 2010 Tekno was reborn as a satellite team operation, linking up with veteran Queensland Ford racing team, Dick Johnson Racing
for Webb's first run in the V8 Supercar Championship Series
. The got their first main series V8 Supercar win at the Sydney 500. In 2011 they severed their relationship with Dick Johnson Racing and become an independent single car team. The team maintained the sponsorship links with Mother Energy Drinks and have their engines built by InnoV8 Race Engines.
