Telehouse America is a data center services provider in the United States with carrier-neutral colocation facilities in New York
and Los Angeles
, as well as international Internet exchanges, managed IT services and disaster recovery solutions. In 1996, Telehouse America launched the New York International Internet Exchange point (NYIIX), Manhattan's largest and most heavily trafficked peering exchange still operational and located in its data center facility at 25 Broadway, as well as established the first Los Angeles International Internet Exchange point (LAIIX), a peering gateway to the Asia-Pac Rim.
Today, Telehouse America operates SAS 70 Type II data centers and colocation facilities in New York, including the Teleport Center a 162000 sq ft (15,050.3 m²). disaster recovery
center and the company's headquarters in Staten Island

Corporation's Global Powered Ethernet Network (G-PEN) infrastructure.
Telehouse America's consulting and operations teams provide Manage E Service which delivers help desk and hardware support, managed IT infrastructure, security and compliance and planning services from one point-of-contact. Telehouse America also owns and operates public Internet exchange point
s in New York (NYIIX) and Los Angeles (LAIIX). Both exchanges provide a peering
platform for participants to peer (exchange internet traffic) at up to 10Gbps speeds using IPv4
and IPv6
protocols.
Its sister company, Telehouse Europe operates six facilities across London and Paris, which combined provide 45,000 square meters of data center space. Both companies are part of the worldwide KDDI Corporation, Japan's second largest telecommunications provider, which operates data centre facilities in America and Asia. KDDI is a US$39.9 billion (operational revenue), Global 300-listed company.
Telehouse has acquired 60000 square feet (5,574.2 m²) of data center space at 85 10th Avenue in New York.
