SMRT announced on December 6, 2010 that the station will be closed from December 10, 2010 to the end of 2011 due to re-development of Ten Mile Junction shopping centre that resulted a closure to the entire mall as well. Bukit Panjang LRT Service C, which operates from Ten Mile Junction, will be withdrawn until the end of 2011.
