Drama Series that aired on STAR Plus

During a function, in front of everyone Anurag breaks his relationship with Taani. He proposes to her and says he wants everyone to know that he is not marrying her because of their childhood marriage but for his love. (aww) Anu (shorten for Anurag) and Taani have many romantic moments where one time Anu kisses Taani. Afterwards, Taposh (Tanni's brother, and Mauli's lover) confesses his love for Mauli to Taani and says he will tell Mauli. Taani starts to worry, she promised Anu's dad that the marriage will not be broken and she fears that once Mauli finds out, she will leave Robindo for Taposh. Taani immediately calls Anu, but Taposh already confesses to Mauli, and all is heard by Robindo, Taani, Anurag and Jonkhi. Mauli says she loves Taposh but she will not leave Robindo since Taposh only realised his love, she says that Robindo really loves Mauli more than Taposh. Taposh leaves.
Suddenly, it is revealed that Robindo has a kid who he did not know of, during an affair with a girl 'in USA'. Meanwhile, Mauli is happily preparing for her big day. She goes to Taani's house and Taani tells her about the kid. Mauli storms into the Ganguly household, where she puts the wedding off. Afterwards, Taposh goes to Mauli's home to say goodbye. Mauli proposes to Taposh and he agrees.
Mauli and Taposh marry. Heartbroken, Robindo decides to leave town and Taani asks him what he's doing. He blames all that happened on Taani and curses Taani and Anurag that like he couldn't be with Mauli, Taani and Anurag would also never be together. Next episode, Gulabo, prostitute Ritesh was having an affair with shows up to collect her money that he hasn't given her. When he doesn't give her the money, she threatens to reveal the truth about him to everyone. Taani overhears their conversation and talks to Gulabo and asks her not to tell anything to Ananya, because she will get hurt and none of it will make any difference to Ritesh. Gulabo agrees, but she requires money. Taani gives her necklase as payment to keep Gulabo quiet and asks her to do as she says. Gulabo agrees, but Ritesh overhears Taani and Gulabo's conversation. Nupur meanwhile gives Gulabo more money and tell her to tell Ananya everything but blame everything on Taani and make it seem like Taani made Gulabo do all this. Nupur hopes that by doing this, everyone will blame Taani and kick her out of the house. Gulabo goes to Ananya and tells her everything, initially Ananya don't want to believe anything Gulabo says, but slowly she starts to realize that what Gulabo is saying is the truth. Ananya is devastated and walks out the house crying and walks out on to the street. All the while Ritesh trusts Taani not to do anything wrong, but Nupur talks him into believing that Taani is untrustworthy and will do everything in her power to hurt everyone. Ritesh drags Taani into a room and questions her about why she was talking to Gulabo and why she told Gulabo to do as she says? She says that she did that so Gulabo would keep her mouth shut. A girl screams and informs everyone that Ananya's been in an accident. Everyone runs out to the street and sees Ananya on the ground in a pool of blood.

Plot
The story is about two young lovers Taani Bannerji (Prachi Deshmukh)' and Anurag Ganguli (Devarsh Thakkar). It is a story of eternal love and the sacrifices made between two people, through separation and meeting. Taani and Anurag were childhood friends who were forced to get married due to Taani's father developing cancer, and wanting to see his daughter's wedding. Due to circumstances the two are separated from each other and after an eight year leap the two meet again. Taani (Anupriya Kapoor)has been waiting to Anurag '(Harshad Chopra) as she is in love with him, however Anurag has found a life partner in someone else; Nupur. When Taani finds out she is heartbroken, and break ties with Anurag but still loves him. Anurag vows to find her a suitable bachelor to take his place, and sees this in his close friend Sushant. Taani does not want him as a husband at first and is angry, however later agrees .Meanwhile Taani wants to fulfill her second dream which is to become a singer and she gets a chance which is a contract for a music album with the rich bachelor Sushant Roy who is Anurag's friend. As time goes on Sushant falls for Taani and asks her hand in marriage and Tani agrees because Anurag said he won't get married until Tani finds a well suited guy. But Sushant leaves Taani because he thinks that Taani and Anuraag are still in love and that Taani is cheating him, and Nupur leaves Anurag to be a model on their ashirvad ceremony day. To save Anurag's name, Taani sits in Nupur's place for the ceremony. Their families are very happy. Tani tells Anurag that they can pretend to be engaged until Anurag's grandmother leaves. Once she leaves they'll tell everyone that they were pretending. In the recent episode we can see that Anurag is realizing the love Tani has for him. Taani sees Ananya didi's husband Ritesh changing her birth pills to something else, despite knowing that another baby might kill her. Later when no one is around she goes to Ananya's room to change it back to what it was, but Ananya didi comes inside the room and thinks that Taani was changing her pills trying to kill her. She takes Taani out of the room and goes to the living room. Ananya calls everyone out and blames Taani in front of them. Ananya di's father gets mad at Taani, but Anurag comes forward and defends Taani. In anger his father tells Anurag that he is nothing himself and that Anurag is living in his house, and tells Anurag to leave his house and come back when he has become something without his help and name. Anurag leaves the house that instant, Taani follows him. He tells her that their saath was only till then as anyway they were going to tell their respective families the truth about their relationship, also tells to go back to her house and makes her promise not to tell Laboni maa about as she would be sad. Tani agrees. And Anurag goes to one of his friends house to stay for the night. Taani on the other hand goes home and Laboni maa senses something wrong, and when asked Taani she says that Anurag went somewhere for business. The next morning Taani is feeling sad while helping her maa in the kitchen and Laboni maa is now sure that something is definitely wrong, just then Robbie comes and Laboni maa finds out that Anurag actually left his father's house. Anurag is sitting for breakfast at his friend's house, when his friends wife compares Taani to Nupur and says Nupur is way better. Anurag feels insulted and leaves his friends house and goes to a garden/park sitting on a bench. There Laboni maa finds him and tells him to come to her house, a cute scene and Anu goes with her. When they get home Anu's mom is there and she tells him that he will someday become something and that never comeback if he doesn't (not in a bad, she means that she believes in him). She also tells Taani to stand by her son Anurag no matter what happens, and she says always. Anurag applies for a new job, interviews and gets it. But later gets a call that he's been refused as he is the son of the rival. Anurag is very sad and Taani comforts him. To cheer him up she takes him with all the other friends to movie theatre. On the way there Anurag's father comes to take him back home, Anurag hugs him, but decides not to go back as he doesn't wanna break Taani belief in him that he will become someone someday. He also says that he knows Taani will always stand by him. After saying this he leaves with Taani towards the theatre. After that they have some funny scenes. Taani sees Ritesh at the theatres with a different girl. Ritesh notices her and runs away. Meanwhile Ananya gets pregnant and blames Taani for her pregnancy and also decides to break her relationship with Anurag. She tells Anurag that Taani knew the fact the Nupur was about to run away from the ashirwad ceremony, but Taani did not care to tell this fact to Anurag and also since Anurag is struggling to settle himself and is not financially stable therefore, she is planning to leave Anurag and has started seeing Subodh(another childhood friend). Anurag became very upset after hearing this and broke his relalations with Taani. Anurag goes to stay in his factory immediately afterwards. Anurag's father tries to convince him to come back which Anurag denies. Anurag will not speak to Taani. Subodh offers a huge contract to Anurag. Anurag wants the contract but doesn't want to put a heavy load on the workers. Taani talks to the workers so they can convince Anurag to sign for the contract in return she helps them with their responsibilities at home and work. Anurag signs the contract and successfully finishes the work. Shekher and Anurag end up competing for the contract much to Ritesh's happiness as he thinks Anurag will never win and thus never come home. Meanwhile Taani asks Jonaki why she meddled in Mauli and Robindo's life as they are now getting married. Jonaki says that Mauli loves Taposh and should not have to marry Robindo and she mentions that there is another reason which she cannot inform Taani of. Jonaki also mocks Taani and Mauli's beliefs in love. After some time when Anurag proves himself, Subodh told him it was Taani not him who helped Anurag. Anurag now feels devastated and realizes his love for Taani. Taani is now on her way to Mumbai to find Nupur and to tell her to come back to Anurag. She leaves on the train. Anurag tries to stop her and goes to the train station. Ananya hears about this and stops Anurag. The train leaves with Taani on board. Taani reaches Nupur and talks to her. Anurag hears the conversation over the phone. Nupur does not care about Taani's talks. Taani goes on the train and Anurag finds her and stops her. Anurag takes Taani home but does not confess his love. Robindo plans a surprse birthday party for Mouli. Here Robindo tries to tell Mauli he loves her. Subodh then tries to tell Taani about Anurag's love. Anurag confesses his love for Taani himself and brings her home. He finds Nupur at home and Nupur starts to hug Anurag and apologize. Taani gets jealous and upset seeing this and leaves. Anurag pushes Nupur and follows Taani and convinces her that he loves her. Ananya tries to convince Anurag that he doesn’t love Taani and she is bad, but Anurag does not believe her this time. Nupur feels very upset and slashes her wrist. Taani sees this and convinces Nupur to come inside but she doesn't because she wants Anurag to save her. Taani convinces Anurag to save Nupur, but Nupur has plans on becoming once again, Anurag's love! Shekher is full on Nupur's side and so is Ananya. What will happen to Anurag's and Taani's love?
