Terence Parr

Terence John Parr is a professor of computer science
at the University of San Francisco
. He is best known for his ANTLR
parser generator and contributions to parsing theory. He also developed the StringTemplate engine for Java and other programming languages.
He launched Parr Research Corporation to create compilers, translators, and interpreters for the United States Army
and various software companies. In 1995, Parr co-founded the MageLang Institute, now known as jGuru.com.
In 1997, he published a book called Language Translation Using PCCTS and C++, which focuses on the application of the language theory.
