Thalangara Thoppi
Thalangara Thoppi (Cap) was a very popular item in the past. It was produced domestically in the earlier years. In the past years, it was rare to find a home not involved in making these Thalangara Thoppi. Late K.S. Abdul Khader Haji, M.P. Abdul Khader Haji and Padhindadkal Mohammed Haji were the founders of this industry. The products were exported mainly to gulf countries. This industry played an important role in the economy of Thalangara at that time, but due to the introduction of mechanised production of these items, handmade caps cannot compete on the basis of price any longer, and the production of caps has been significantly reduced in the Thalangara area.Film location
