), the elder brother of Kashi leads a calm life at Midhilapuri. He is considered as an undisputed leader of the farmers at the village, who prefers revolutionary methods in agriculture and marketing of the products. His stubborn ways have invited ire from different corners. Dasappan Gounder (Manoj K. Jayan
), a Pollachi based young businessman arrives at Midhilapuri to open up a supermarket that offers a variety of cosmetic goods and bottled soft drinks. But due to the opposition from the residents, he is made to move back. Dasappan Gounder offers several perks to Swaminathan, but he is adamant. In retaliation, Gounder kills Smainathan. The shock of the unexpected death of Swaminathan brings Kashinathan to Midhilapuri, where upon the request from the villagers, he takes up their leadership. Smelling danger, Dasappan Gounder joins hands with Shankar Das, who was waiting for an opportunity to finish off Kashinathan. From Mani (Jagadish
), the driver of Swaminathan, Kashi comes to know about the truth behind the death of Swaminathan, which was till then considered to be an accident. Kashinathan avenges the death of his brother by finishing of Shankar Das and Dasappan Gounder.
