The Celebrity Apprentice 5 (also known as The Apprentice 12) is the twelfth installment of the United States
version of the reality television
series, The Apprentice. On May 15, 2011, NBC announced that the show would be returning for a fifth season due in 2012 on NBC. On May 16, 2011, at NBC's annual upfront presentations to advertisers, Donald Trump
confirmed that he would be hosting the fifth season. On November 14, 2011, NBC announced the fifth season would premiere February 12, 2012.
NOTE: It was rumored in the press that Marco Andretti
would be participating in this season, however, it was his father Michael Andretti who actually appeared on the show.
