Main Characters
- Aidan Cooper: (Age fifteen) He is your typical teenage boy. Aidan is constantly falling "in love" with most of his sister's friends. He tries to avoid trouble, but ends up being pulled into it by his sister. Although he and his sister don't always get along, he still loves her dearly.
- Sarah Cooper: (Age seventeen) She is very sarcastic and is a black-belt in karate(which comes in handy several times). She is infatuated with her hair, which she describes as her "trade-mark". After finding the paper, she discovers that it has relevance to her favorite book series, and automatically dives into the clue game, much to her brother's reluctance.
- J.D. Aster: J.D. is a twenty-something who meets the Cooper siblings after answering their cry for help on Craigsligst. He's a decendent of the Aster line and the last known Starcatcher. At first, he doesn't believe Aidan and Sarah, but he eventually comes around and proves to be much use to the children as the story progresses. He seems to have a thing for Sarah, but finds Aidan to be quite annoying.
- Peter PanPeter PanPeter Pan is a character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie . A mischievous boy who can fly and magically refuses to grow up, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang the Lost Boys, interacting with...
: Peter is the same as always in the Starcatcher series (save for his attitude). He is first seen in the book floating over J.D. and Sarah in the Mollusk village. At first, he and J.D. dislike one another, but the two becomes friends by the end of the book. Peter thinks that the way Disney depicted him is rather silly.
- Tinker Bell: She once again appears right beside Peter. At first, she does not like Sarah, J.D., or Aidan, and she cares only about Peter. When seeing how Disney has depicted her, she becomes extremely offended, stating that she is much prettier than the Disney version.
- Lord Ombra: Ombra is the main villain of the Starcatchers saga. Having survived the last encounter with the Starcatchers, he has significantly lost most of his powers. Still, his powers enable to him to survive in a swarm of ravens which he had posessed many years prior. He is still able to steal shadows, and posess people in order to read their thoughts and do his biding.
