History

The Good Guys began retailing in electrical goods in Victoria in 1952. Initial growth was slow, with 14 stores across the state in 1992. A strong advertising campaign in 1998, which resulted in strong sales, also led to a rapid expansion of stores across the country. By 2009, the chain had grown to 89 stores across Australia, including several stores now in New Zealand.
