On May 25, 2009, it was newly announced that keyboardist
Ichiyou Izawa from Tokyo Jihen and drummer Masakazu Ichinose from Asparagus joined as tour artists.
On May 27, 2009, their first album, Trash We'd Love, was released. Because of the band members previous popularity, their album reached No. 1 on the Oricon
albums chart in Japan. The album's cover art was designed by Kaori Maki.
They played their first show at Punk Spring 2009 and continued onto play at other festivals such as the Nano-Mugen Festival, Rock in Japan Festival
and Summer Sonic Festival
in the same year.
The Hiatus was featured in such magazines as Bridge, Rockin'on Japan, Bass Magazine, Sound & Recording Magazine and Guitar Magazine. They were also featured on J-Wave
