Produced by MCM Entertainment, the show reaches a listener base of approximately 1.5 million people weekly.

In November 2009, it was announced that Günsberg will replace Kyle and Jackie O. Gunsberg will host the new show titled "The Hot Hits Live" from Los Angeles. Kyle and Jackie O presented their final show on 28 November, with Gunsberg taking over on 4 December.

The show now airs on Sunday afternoons, as opposed to its former Saturday night time slot.
