, first published in 1992. It tells the story of a boy who is visited by the titular Man, a minuscule human who arrives in the boy's bedroom unclothed and hungry. The boy initially believes he is dreaming, but soon realises that the Man is indeed real, and starts to take care of him. The Man shows himself to be demanding, bossy and messy, but nevertheless a bond forms between the pair. The story follows their relationship over the next few days.
