The Mclovins are a Connecticut
-based jam-rock band who play a mixture of progressive jam with solid funk and jazz undertones. The band cites numerous influences both within and outside the traditional jam-band genre allowing them to bring a fresh aesthetic to their music. The trio combines a firm, core musical strength with vibrant live performances to create a new and exciting live experience.

, the band then quickly caught the eye of Rolling Stone magazine. Conundrum featured graphics by Ink Design Studios, and they are also the brains behind the band's signature and flexible skull logo.
The band's biggest show in the summer of 2009 was their appearance in the Green Vibes tent at The Gathering Of The Vibes
where they played to their largest crowd yet. The band commissioned a pair of posters from noted poster artist AJ Masthay, to commemorate The McLovins Phish Pre-Shows in Hartford and Satatoga Springs as part of the celebration for Phish's 2009 reunion tour. During the fall of 2009 and Winter of 2010 they continued to tour regionally throughout New England, including their first appearance at Moe.'s
spring festival Snoe.down as well as playing Nectar's in Burlington Vermont. The have managed to cultivate a loyal following due to multiple appearances at Keene State College. The McLovins have done several shows at Troy, New York's Revolution Hall including a double bill with 7 Walkers on the closing night of the famed music hall. In the spring of 2010 the band released their 2nd studio album; again featuring originals written by the band Good Catch.
The summer of 2010 saw an explosion in the band's fanbase with numerous festival appearances including StrangeCreek, Mountain Jam, the inaugural Nateva Music Festival
, Gathering of the Vibes, Bella Terra Festival and WormTown. The band continues to play locally and regionally with favorite venues including Black Eyed Sally's, The Main Pub and they have made several appearances at Brooklyn Bowl as well as Sullivan Hall in NYC. In the fall of 2010, The McLovins collaborated with Phish lyricist Tom Marshall
and his partner Ant Krizan to co-write Cohesive, which they recorded with Marshall and Anthony Krizan (of Spin Doctors fame) at Krizan's Sonic Boom studios. They debuted the song during a performance at Brooklyn Bowl where they were joined onstage by both Tom Marshall
and Ant Krizan. The band also released a commemorative poster of this show, produced by AJ Masthay. 2011 looks to start off just as busy for the band with return trips to Nectars, Fairfield Theatre Company, Infinity Hall and the bands first trip to The IronHorse Music Hall in Northampton, Ma.

The McLovins subscribe to a free and open taping policy. They allow taping of any show where the venue also allows live taping.
