The Morning Show is an Australia

that premiered on the Seven Network
on 18 June 2007. The show airs between 9am and 11:30am weekdays and follows Seven's breakfast news program Sunrise
, with both programs closely interlinked.
The show's format is similar to Sunrise
, and consists of a mix of news, entertainment and information along with audience interaction through email, SMS and talkback. The show also features live and pre-recorded advertorial
s similar to those featured in rival shows Kerri-Anne and The Circle
. The show is produced by the same team as Sunrise
and broadcast live at the same Martin Place studio.
When the show first started out there was a fixed music theme used regularly throughout the show. In 2010, the theme was scrapped, with more popular recent music being used nowadays as bumpers.
Musical performances take place at roughly 9:50am. Guests can be of a smaller profile than those that appear on Sunrise. Unsigned artists are also encouraged to send in a demo CD for the potential opportunity to perform.
Each day at around 10am, in a similar style to Sunrise's 'All-Stars' segment, two commentators are featured as part of 'The Jury' on The Morning Show.
A regular segment follows at 10:20am. On Mondays, senior citizens Vince & Betty visit the studio to give out "life advice" to viewers that have called in. On Thursdays, "Beat The Stylist" takes place, where viewers are given the chance to compete against a fashion stylist at dressing models for a certain occasion. Media personalities act as judges to decide the winner. On Friday's Anna Musson gives her opinion on all things related to "Modern Manners." Jo Lamble
also regularly joins Kylie & Larry on the couch with one or more of the viewers for a one-on-one personal counselling session. The Segment is called "The Counselling Couch".
An international cross to a celebrity gossip correspondent follows at 10:30 am. The show finishes with Larry & Kylie saying goodbye outside in the plaza.
Generally, eight advertorials are shown throughout the show.

On October 13, 2010, for the first time since the show first went to air in 2007, The Morning Show did not air on a weekday during the ratings season, due to Sunrise covering the ongoing 2010 Copiapó mining accident

During September to November, finalists from the second season of The X Factor
have also performed.

In March 2011, it was announced that Larry Emdur
would earn a reported $800,000 per year for his work on The Morning Show. This came after the Nine Network
pursued Larry to join the network, he refused and in turn the Seven Network
gave Larry a substantial pay raise.
