Concept
The concept of the film is that the protagonist is aware his life is a movie. He meets many people throughout his "storyline" including his audience, whom he talks to frequently, his sidekick, a woman he immediately calls his Love Interest, and a shady character known only as Suspicious Character whom he suspects to be villainous. The film is largely based on the story of Don Quixote.A memorable scene is the protagonist's paraphrase of The Lord's Prayer: "Thou movie, which art on screen, hallowed be they name. The time has come. Thou will be shown in theaters as well as home. Give us this day our daily film and forgive our bad choices, as we forgive those whose movies were so bad to choose.
