The New Dada was an Italian
1960s beat music
band.
formed The New Dada. The line-up, besides Arcieri, comprised Franco "Pupo" Longo (battery), Franco Jadanza and Renato "Renè" Vignocchi (guitars), Ferruccio "Ferry" Sansoni (keyboards) and Giorgio Fazzini (bass guitar).
In 1965, courtesy of their manager, Leo Watcher, the band was chosen to support the Italian tour of The Beatles
. They entered, amongst the first five Italian beat bands, and won the first edition of the "Beat Bands Festival" of Rieti. A handful of singles
and an album
, I'll Go Crazy, are released in a short time, and the band took part in television program

and Andiamoci Piano, as well as participated at the 1966 edition of the "Cantagiro
" Festival with "Non dirne più".
The New Dada were also often invited as guests on several major TV programmes of the time. Several videos of those appearances are now available. In the autumn of the same year, The New Dada win several contests held by the Bandiera Gialla beat club.
On 22 September 1966, Arcieri met Christina Moser at a private party held for the birthday of Patrizia Watcher (daughter of The New Dada's record producer
Leo). At the peak of their success The New Dada split up, and Arcieri undertook a solo career.
In 1967, some members of The New Dada backed Arcieri as his supporting group. In the spring of the same year, the remaining members of the band supported The Rolling Stones
in their Roman
concert.
