When they get to the contest, Seth finds out that the games include licking whipped cream off of a girl he just met, and fears that Summer will see him. The situation worsens when he runs into Mary Sue's boyfriend and his muscle-bound Bible

Sandy joins Sophie and Bobby for dinner. When Sophie excuses herself to go to the restroom, Sandy explains to Bobby that he has problems trusting people after having been a public defender for many years, and indirectly threatens to use his media connections to destroy Bobby's life should Bobby ever hurt Sophie.

Marissa stops by Trey's to celebrate his getting a job at The Bait Shop. They have a few too many margaritas and Marissa suggests they go outside and get some air. Trey sneaks a quick line of cocaine before joining Marissa outside.

Sandy and Sophie are waiting for Bobby to show up for a poolside meal when Sophie receives a phone call from Bobby, who says he is being hit with a malpractice

, Zach offers to cook dinner for Summer to get her mind off of Seth. Unfortunately Zach leaves the TV on during dinner and when he goes to the kitchen for seconds, Summer sees Seth licking whipped cream off Mary Sue. She suddenly grabs Zach and gives him a long passionate kiss.

After dinner, Kirsten confesses to Carter that she's a terrible cook and had the entire meal catered, and they both admit that they both contemplated an affair with the other. Carter confesses that he almost didn't take the job in New York because he didn't want to leave her. They have their first, and apparently last, kiss, and she wishes him well with his new job. After Carter leaves, Kirsten trades in her wine for vodka.

Down on the beach, Trey tells Marissa he's grateful for everything she's done for him. He tells Marissa that when he's with her, he feels like he can do anything. Marissa thinks it's time to head back, but Trey grabs her and tries to kiss her, causing her to drop her purse, containing her cell phone. She struggles to get away but he won't let go. He pushes her onto the ground and lies on top of her, pinning her down. Marissa tries to call for help, but can't because she is crying too hard. She can't reach her mobile to call for help. Finally, Marissa grabs a piece of driftwood and cracks him on the head, and runs away.
