Biography
The River formed in 1999, starting life as an Epic Doom Metal band. As the years & line-ups have progressed so has the sound into something more individual yet still retaining the traditions of the Doom Metal genre. The core of the band's sound is the crushing guitars mixed with the soulful vocals & melodic song structures, never shying away from their roots yet always individual in approach. Having recorded 4 demos, the most recent two "Oneiric Dirges in Mono" 2003 & "Different Ways to be Haunted" 2005 having sold thousands of copies between them, the band have also played gigs with the likes of WarningWarning (band)
