The Road to You is the Pat Metheny Group
's second live album, released in 1993, ten years after their first live release, Travels
. All of the pieces were recorded live on a European tour in 1991. The songs where taken from the Bari, Pescara; Jesi and Naples, Italy; Marseilles, Paris; and Besançon, France shows, with the exception of the last track, which is a studio recording.
The CD packaging contains lengths for each song, but the times are very inaccurate.
The album won a Grammy Award
in 1994 for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance.
