. Their early releases were on the Leeds Independent Label, including debut album First Avalanche (1986), Former Vidal Sassoon hairdresser Mark Thompson became the drummer. They were subsequently signed to Fire Records
, releasing the albums Always There and In Rock, before leaving the label acrimoniously. After a live album on the Contempo label, they started their own Avalantic label, releasing Never Another Sunset in 1991. In 1990 Morris and Berry formed a new lineup with bassist Darren Homer and drummer Andrew Parker, releasing two further albums before splitting up.

The band was formed by Philip Morris (vocals) and Paul James Berry (guitar) (www.myspace.com/pauljamesberry), and by 1985 the lineup included Glenn Schultz (guitar), Alan Davis (Drums), and Nicol Mackay (Bass). They recorded a session for John PeelJohn Peel
