Background
The band were formed in 2005. They played their first show in Glasgow in December 2005 and they quickly gained a reputation for excellent live shows. They have so far played multiple extensive UK tours, as well as some European dates, selling out numerous venues. The band strive to re-create the experience of seeing a mid 1980s Smiths concert, including not only the sound, but also the wardrobe, attitude, stage show and various accoutrements.The Smiths Indeed name is taken from the run-out grooves etching on the vinyl of the 1984 Smiths single, "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
