. There are 21 representatives in the Welfare Parliament.
The body is responsible for distributing the part of the semester fee that primarily goes to student culture, student media and sports. Further more, the Welfare Parliament elect half of the board members in the Welfare Organisation, including the Chairman who has the casting vote.
All students who are associated with the Welfare Organisation may attend, speak and make propositions at the Welfare Parliament’s meetings. They may also be elected to any position the Welfare Parliament appoints to.

Purpose
The purpose of the Welfare Parliament is to give students in Bergen a common voice on matters regarding student welfare.The body is responsible for distributing the part of the semester fee that primarily goes to student culture, student media and sports. Further more, the Welfare Parliament elect half of the board members in the Welfare Organisation, including the Chairman who has the casting vote.
Representation
The local student democracies are responsible for electing their own representatives. The number of representatives from each democracy is decided by the number of students at each institution.All students who are associated with the Welfare Organisation may attend, speak and make propositions at the Welfare Parliament’s meetings. They may also be elected to any position the Welfare Parliament appoints to.
