The forewing upperside is very similar to Theretra indistincta manuselensis
but the ground colour is darker and deeper. The forewing underside basal area is the same pale colour as the rest of the wing, except for a small blackish area along the inner margin. A black discal spot is usually present. The females are larger and broader winged than the males, but otherwise identical in colour and pattern.
