Tianda Flegel currently resides in the village of Fraser Lake, British Columbia, with her mother, Tracy Flegel; father, Darrell Flegel; and brother, Lucas Flegel. Flegel grew up in a musical environment: her Dad playing acoustic and electric guitar, and drums, and her brother, also, playing guitar and drums. Tianda first started singing when she was around three years old, and began writing at the young age of seven. Flegel picked up the guitar when she was 12 years and is completely self taught. Tianda wrote her first song about her friends horse passing away, and since then has written over 350 songs. Tianda has developed an interest in music production and has begun producing her own music in a home studio set.
The Next Star (2009-present)
Tianda Flegel has released three singles, the first being Without You Here, which was the original single that she had written and sang at the finale of The Next Star. Liar Liar was released on iTunes on March 30, 2010. Along with the audio release of Liar Liar, a music video shot for the song was released on the following April 9, then continuing to air on YTV, CMT, and MuchMusic. Tianda continued her work with Universal Canada, and released a third single, Run For Cover, which debuted on iTunes July 13, 2010. Currently, Tianda has no plans to record an album.,The Next Star
Tianda auditioned for the show among thousands of other young hopefuls; she was soon selected to be part of a top 16 group of the best young singers in Canada. She then went on to become one of the top six finalists for the show's second season. On September 27, 2009 Tianda won the live televised singing competition. Each of the top six contestants recorded singles, all of which are available on iTunes, including Tianda's song Without You Here. The top six performed "I Gotta FeelingI Gotta Feeling
