in 2003 and 2004. He was picked up by the tigers with pick 41 in the 2002 AFL National Draft. Known as a hard, tough player, Fleming played a total of 34 games with his time at the club, booting 10 goals in that time.

Before arriving at Richmond he played for Broadford and the Carlton reserves.

He was delisted however at the end of the 2004 season after an unsuccessful year in which the Tigers claimed the wooden spoon for finishing in last place on the AFL Ladder.
